>>>Check out the updated version of our December 2015 budget here!<<<
This is our budget estimate for December. We’re not putting our usual towards debt this month for two reasons. First is that the end of November and all this month are filled with holidays. I’d rather have a buffer in the off chance we need the money for school gift exchanges, band & chorus concerts, piano recital, or just plain ‘ol fuel to get us back and forth. Also, last month saw a few more doctor’s appointments and emergency orthodontist visits than we normally do, and I know we’ll get the remainder after insurance processing this month. With that said, here goes.
Income
Hubs: $4,585.00
November Debt Savings (& Interest): $132.59
November ATM Rebate: $0
Total: $4,717.59
Expenses
Mortgage: $500
Cell Phone: $52
Home Phone / Internet: $64
This cost keeps increasing slightly due to federal fees and 911 surcharges.
Credit Card 1: $128.65
Even though last month was our last debt payment on this, we do use the card for some reoccurring monthly bills such as Netflix, weekend Newspaper subscription, and so on.
Credit Card 2: $200
Student Loans: $349
Car Payment: $264.80
Electric: $145
Insurance: $244.26
Band Instrument Rental: $39.22
Piano Lessons: $0
Bookworm’s piano lessons are a generous gift from my mother-in-law.
Fun Money: $100
Annual Savings Account: $1,450
Cash Flow Savings: $135
Debt Snowball Savings: $110
Remainder
After all our savings and expenses for the month, I will be left with roughly $935 for groceries, gas, and other expenses for the month. This is quite a bit more than what I’ve budgeted out in previous months, nearly double in fact. As I stated earlier though, I’d rather have a nice buffer for savings this month and be able to cover any unexpected expenses rather than stress about them coming from our grocery & fuel expenses.
